89PHP Payment Methods — Every Rail, Its Limits & Its Rules
Payment methods are the subject of the 2 pages held in this section.
| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| 89PHP GCash | GCash is a Philippine payment rail — regulation: An Electronic Money Issuer under licence from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. |
| 89PHP Maya | Maya is a Philippine payment rail — regulation: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, in its capacity as an Electronic Money Issuer and as a registered Operator of Payment System. |
Philippine payment rails are what these pages describe: who runs each one, what it is licensed as, and what it publishes about limits, fees and settlement. Payment figures are copied between affiliate sites more carelessly than almost anything else on the internet, so each figure here is taken from the provider’s own domain or from a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas document.
Everything in this section

| Maya | Maya Philippines | transfers between wallets and through InstaPay arrive in real time | Yes |
Each of the 2 pages covers a single entry and none summarises several. Wherever a field above reads “not published”, the entry’s own page explains who would have been the one to publish it.
Each entry in a paragraph
Each gets just enough text to show you which page deserves a click.
GCash, in detail
Operator: G-Xchange, Inc., a Mynt company (a joint venture between Globe Fintech Innovations and Ayala Corporation).
Published limit: Fully Verified: PHP 100,000, with the amount measured at any given time.
On gambling: A general clause barring pyramid and Ponzi schemes is the nearest GCash’s own terms and conditions come to it, as they contain no blanket ban on gambling merchants.
Maya, in detail
Operator: Maya Philippines, Inc., whose earlier names were PayMaya Philippines and, at the start, Smart Money.
Published limit: Basic is limited to PHP 50,000, Upgraded to PHP 100,000 per month, Super Users to PHP 500,000 and Ultimate Users to PHP 5,000,000.
On gambling: Maya’s e-wallet terms and conditions were read directly; they prohibit illegal activity and anti-money-laundering breaches in general terms and contain no gambling clause.
The thing most often got wrong here
You cannot reduce a wallet limit to one number and compare it like for like. GCash’s published figure is a cap on the balance held at one moment, whereas Maya’s is a monthly total. Those two measure different things, so tables laying PHP 100,000 alongside PHP 100,000 as if identical are comparing a bucket to a tap.
Each page makes clear which one of the pair it is quoting. Holding money and moving it each hit a different limit, and no table formatting reconciles the two.
In the game itself, check payment methods details
Nothing else on a site of this kind becomes outdated as quickly as payment figures. Rechecking each and every one takes only a couple of minutes:
- Instead of a comparison page, open the help centre that the provider runs itself. GCash, Maya and Grab each publish limits and terms on their own domains, and each of them has revised those within the last two years.
- Find the tier that a quoted limit is attached to. A new account sits on the bottom tier, but nearly all wallet figures in circulation are the top-tier number quoted as though a new account had it.
- When the topic is InstaPay and PESONet, turn to the BSP FAQ PDFs instead of a bank. A bank’s own page covers only its own charges, whereas the per-transaction cap and who pays the fee are determined at the scheme level.
- On gambling and payments, the provider’s acceptable use policy is to be read in full. In GrabPay’s case the prohibition sits in its terms of service rather than a help article, and no provider here is more explicit.
- Every figure found on these pages carries the date September 2026, so treat it that way. This is exactly why each page names the source it came from.

FAQ
On gambling transactions, which rail among these publishes a position?
GCash, Maya. Clearest of all is GrabPay, and what it states is a prohibition: casino games and sports betting are off limits under its own acceptable use policy, with an exception only where the activity is registered with the appropriate government agency.
What is the reason no page here lists a deposit minimum?
Because a deposit minimum is set by the operator's cashier, not by the payment rail, and no 89PHP cashier was checked during research. That slot could only be filled with an invented figure.
Are these figures current?
What you have here was recorded in September 2026, as a snapshot. Limits and fees are revised by payment providers without notice, which is why each page names the provider page its figure came from, so it can be rechecked.
Is a casino account something you can top up through GCash?
There is no blanket ban on gambling merchants in GCash's own terms, yet in August 2025 BSP ordered every supervised institution to strip in-app gambling links, and thousands of merchants abusing the GCash QR system have been blocked. Neither a published statement for nor against a licensed casino's cashier follows from any of that, and this site does not provide one.
GrabPay is treated differently from the other wallets here for what reason?
Because no other has an explicit gambling prohibition in its own terms of service. Saying to a reader that funding a casino account through GrabPay is straightforward would contradict what GrabPay publishes about itself.
Which points set InstaPay apart from PESONet?
With InstaPay, settlement is in real time, service runs around the clock, and personal transfers are capped at PHP 50,000 per transaction. With PESONet, clearing happens in batches on banking days, and no cap applies across the scheme. InstaPay's ceiling forces larger transfers onto PESONet, so the amount is usually what decides which one carries a transfer.
